WORKING AT COASTLINE

At Coastline, a staff member's role is to facilitate & equip the Church to LOVE GOD, CONNECT TOGETHER and LIVE ON MISSION.  That is our mission, and it is the lens in which we view the success of our roles and responsibilities.  A Coastline staff member is hard working, a team player, self motivated, organized, encouraging to others, and has a core desire to honor God in everything they do.

FAQ & EXPECTATIONS:

COMPENSATION: A staff member at Coastline should understand that we are a not-for-profit ministry. Our goal is to use every penny given to the church to maximize our impact for the Kingdom of God.  There is no corporate ladder to climb at Coastline. While we try to compensate people fairly, we have to work within a limited income stream.

BENEFITS: For full-time employees we do provide Health, Life and Dental insurance options.  We offer a 401K package.  We also provide opportunities for ministry education and networking.

SCHEDULE: While we try to stick to a normal work week, much of the events we facilitate at Coastline are after hours.  Depending on your specific ministry area, your schedule may be different than others. Our Normal office hours are Mon-Thur 9AM-5PM and Sunday 8AM - 1PM.

WORKLOAD:  If you are only accustomed to seeing Coastline on Sundays, you will be surprised at all that Coastline accomplishes in any given week.  We have many departments, events, and ministries; but we all work together to accomplish everything at Coastline.  You can expect to be asked to do things outside your comfort zone or perceived giftings.

MINISTRY vs. CAREER: A Coastline staff member should view their employment as more of a mission than a career. Most people are surprised at how much ministry just looks like "hard work" and professionalism. While we do provide rhythms of worship, prayer, spiritual growth and devotionals, there is much work to be accomplished.  We expect our staff members to volunteer time above their required hours -  just as our church volunteers do.  Remember, we are here to serve and equip the church body.  One should find their purpose in serving God, not in monetary compensation, titles, or accolades.
